...and a bit about me...
Hello - and thanks for taking the time to explore this website. I thought you might like to know a bit about my story.

I grew up and lived in North London and now live in a village in North Hertfordshire, just outside the town of Hitchin. I'm married to Maxine and we have two dogs: Harry, a laid-back Chocolate Labrador and Lexi, a cute Staffy. We also have Max's son and his family not far away. My late wife and I didn't have any kids and my own direct family is very small.

I discovered photography when I was about 8, and I still have my very first camera - a Kodak Brownie 127. So I've been capturing and creating photographs for a long time. My first cine camera came a few years later - a Kodak Brownie 8, which also is still in my collection. I've always been an enthusiast, whether working professionally or not.

I started my professional career in the world of advertising and fashion photography and then spent some time in the movie industry. Life doesn't always do what you expect, of course, and I ended up doing very different things, which for many years took me into the world of hi-tech, marketing, technical and project management, plus a few years in management consultancy.

Then, at the turn of the century, I took a career break for about 18 months. Following that, I came back to still professional still photography again. Talk about full circle!

Then about 15 years ago ( was it really that long ago!) I saw how video was developing on the internet and decided to get involved. After all I had a bunch of relevant skills, knowledge and experience that would come in very useful.

Since then my focus has been on producing video (with some still photography) for businesses and non-profits to support things like marketing, information, demonstration, training and public rations.

But as I'm getting on a bit, the fact that I know very little of my own family background got me thinking. And so the idea for offering Family Stories videos came about.
