Not all of us know a lot about
our family's background and history. I'm one of them. My parents and grandparents never really talked about it and I guess earlier in my life I didn't appreciate that I was missing out. Now, when I would love to know, it's too late. I'm at a time in my life when both my parents and grandparents are no longer alive. And when it's too late, well, it's really gone forever.

   Given my professional background in producing video and in podcasting, a while ago the idea came to me. To help families preserve those stories, that history, through creating professional family stories videos for them. A legacy that could be shared with the younger generations and other family members.

   I don't mean just the names and relationships, but what were those previous generations like? And not just the names of who they are, or were,
a generation or two back, or where they are on a family tree.

  Instead, who have been the interesting family personalities?  What were they and their lives like - in what may have been very different times to ours today? What have been the events that shaped the family?    Let the younger family members learn the bigger story that they're part of.
